I am an award-winning director and writer/director with experience in fiction, documentary, docudrama and dance-film for film and TV. I have been commissioned and employed by Channel 4, BBC2, the New Zealand Film Commission, James Wallace Productions, South Pacific Pictures and TVNZ. My short films have been selected for over 35 international film festivals (including Berlin, Locarno, Montreal and Edinburgh), toured art galleries and sold to numerous TV networks (including Canal+, Showtime TV & the NBC).

Through Mudshine Films, I also self-shoot, produce and edit. My experience of doing this on documentary shoots on the West Bank & Gaza, with psychiatric patients, and with children suffering from brain injury, has shown that I respond with empathy and sensitivity in tense and delicate environments.

In addition, I work in screenplay development, either as a script editor or assesor, and run improvisation for workshops.

Whether working on a sizeable production directing a large cast and crew, or a low budget project as a self-shooting, producing and editing director, I bring total commitment, enthusiasm and experience to each and every job.
